Abstract

Abstract:This paper describes the effect of the addition of various volume fraction (0-%4) of short natural fibres on the behavior of the composites. An experimental work has been carried out to study the mechanical properties of Roselle fibre-reinforced cement composites. The results show that the tensile strength of composite increases, (this increase in strength is about 53%), while the compressive strength decreases as the fibre volume fraction is increased. Keywords: Cement , Composites ,Compression , Mechanical Properties Natural Fibre ,Roselle Fibre, Strength, Tensile.
