Emotional empathy among university students
Abstract
The current research aims to measure the level of emotional empathy, as well as to know the difference in emotional empathy according to the variable of gender (male - female) and specialization (scientific).Humanitarian) and the stage (second - fourth), and after defining the research community represented by the students of the University of Mosul, the research sample was chosen randomly, and they numbered (800) male and female students.The researcher built an emotional empathy scale, which consisted of (32) items, and the apparent honesty, discriminatory power, and internal consistency were extracted. As for the stability, it was calculated using the re-test method and Cronbach's alpha equation, and the data were processed statistically using the statistical bag (spss) The results appeared as follows:1-Mosul University students have a good level of empathy2-There are statistically significant differences in emotional empathy according to the gender variable (male - female), the stage variable (second - fourth), and the specialization variable (scientific - humanistic).
