short novel From the story to the open text A preliminary reading in the novel "Descendants of Urshanabi" by Haitham Bahnam Barada
Abstract
The short novel (novella) is a narrative type that belongs to the large narrative incubator (the novel), and is distinguished from it in terms of size and the nature of the narrative style. It is characterized by every written experience belonging to this type, which makes the process of observing its general characteristics difficult, complex and perhaps useless at the same time, but this does not prevent the identification of some common written and stylistic manifestations, the most important of which is the nature of the limited volume that exceeds the short and long story and does not reach To the limits of the traditional novel, which depends on the principle of temporal extension, and the same is the textual extension.
