Abstract

The research aims to determine the geopolitical repercussions of Iraqs maritime location on its foreign policy towards Kuwait. as the Iraqi-Kuwaiti relationship is characterized by a complex specificity that carries within it several factors that prevent the achievement of development and positive cooperation between the two countries due to the problems of the geographical reality imposed on Iraq before and after 2003. and perhaps the last of which is The problem of the Kuwaiti port of Mubarak. which I started to establish in 2011 after Iraq laid the cornerstone for the project of the great port of Faw. which will enhance the importance of Iraqs maritime location and achieve its spatial demands locally. regionally and internationally. due to its impact on international shipping networks and their trends in the future. as Iraq represents a land bridge between East and West through the Dry Canal compared to the Suez Canal and the Ras of Good Hope Road.
