Construction of an Envy Scale Mosul University Students

The aim of the Article is to Construct a scale of envy among the students of the University of Mosul, and to identify the level of envy among the members of the research sample, And the detection of the differences in the level of envy among the members of the research sample according to the gender (male / female), The research also aimed to extract the statistical criteria for the envy scale. The research included a sample of (1345) students from the University of Mosul. Author Construct envy scale, which in its final form consists of (10) items. The results showed that the envy scale has one dimension, which is the negative dimension that measures the negative feelings, thoughts and intentions of people. The scale also revealed the prevalence of envy by (2%) of the sample members. The results did not show differences between the members of the research sample in the level of envy due to the gender variable. In light of the results, author presented a several recommendations and suggestions.
