Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the level of ego and social intelligence among Mosul University students, as well as to identify the relationship between the efficacy of the ego and the social intelligence. The research sample involved (550) male and female students from the second year of medical, engineering, scientific and humanitarian colleges. To achieve the goals of the research, the two researchers built the Ego Effectiveness Scale consists of (40) paragraphs and used the Social Intelligence Scale prepared by (Al-Taie and others) to measure social intelligence and after extracting apparent honesty, construction, content and discrimination of the two scales and making sure of the stability of the two scales through a re-test method. The two researchers used the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to process the data statistically, and the two researchers reached the results that the Students have enjoyed a good level of ego effectiveness and social intelligence, and statistically, there is a statistically significant relationship between ego effectiveness and social intelligence. A number of recommendations and proposals have been formulated.
