Abstract

Thro Through this research, it is clear that those who were responsible for judgement in Basrah had certain features. They were religious and good worshippers. Beside, they were among the best companions of the prophet Mohammad (May peace be upon him) like Omran Bin Hussain and Abdullah bin Fudhala. This research also shows that some judges, in addition to their religion, they were brilliant idols like Ayas Bin Muaweia. Others were similar toprophets especially the prophet AbrahamLike Al-Hassan Al-BasriWe can see as well that everyone judged in Basrah was among those who carrid the prophet Mohammads sayings to us and their families had their own social and religious place. They were very respectable by the Caliphs, princes and ordinary people and their decisions were carried out over also one day the judge Abdul Malek Bin Yuaala ordered the ruler of Basrah Omar Bin Hubaira to return a prisoner to jail and the ruler did as he was told. Those wise and genius judges didnt ask for rule and judge because they knew that a mistake even if it was simple, would brinythem Allahs punishment and anger. They all depended on the Holy Quran and the prophets Sunnah and concluded judges when there was no text for a specific problem or an earlier sentence.
