The Use Of Poetic Text In Favor Of Phonetic Lectures In French Class As A Foreign Language
Abstract
The poetic text has a rhythmic structure which is different from other literary genres in form and musicality of words; hence it is more likely to be the most appropriate kind of texts to be tackled in phonetic lectures as an effective tool in teaching French as a foreign language. In order to find out the distinctive characteristics of poetic text as well as its impact on the acoustic aspect of French language, we tend to review the most common technical terms of poetic text; its conventional forms; its functions; the impact of literary registers when they are used in poetic text and how to associate it with multiple senses at the same time. The rhythm neatly and carefully chosen in poems captivates the ears of language learners due to its sonorous harmony that leads to improve the ability of visual and acoustic memory. The art of versification creates an element of entertainment while learning French sounds.
