Abstract

The Neo- Babylolan (626-539)B.C period withessed important politcal, economic, and religious developments that later escalated to cause the fall of Babylona the hands of the Achaemenid King Cy rus''559-530.BC Thus, the last national rule in the history of ancient Iraq Ended and from that time Iraq became under Achaenid rule until the Muslims were able to liberate it from the sassanians in 637 AD.The most Prominent of these developments the religious problem that faced kind Nabonidus, as aconflict took Place between the Priests of the temple of the god Marduk and King Nabonidus. kina Nabonidus brought about changes in religiou beliefs and rituals to make worship centered around the moon other gods. As for the reason for choosing this ged it aback to for family and national reasons, as his Parents were Priests of the god (sin) in Harrn.This research aims to shed ligh on the High Priestess Adadguppi- apti, who had as an influential religions and Political figure in the history of Babylon, as well as her, role in shaping Nabonidus here the role of women in the history of ancient Iraq is highlighted and how they Gould influence Politice and religion.The study was divided into axes that included the women of nabonidus.
