Asad Ibn Furat is considered as one of the prominent scholars in 2nd Hijri century. He travelled and met the majority of Moslim clerics of his time in Egypt, Hija2 and Iraq. He became a real pioneer of the two prominent sects (Maliki and Hanafi) and spread them in Morocco. He had contributed greatly to the seientific movement in Morocco besides being a distinguised army leader who took the responsibility at invading sicily.
