This paper studies Jawad AL-Hattab"s Poem Histories in which he borrows a hystorical style of documentating great event such as the war but he lets the scientific objectivity away from the style he uses.He makes his style a subjective one established by poetic imagination through a vision that removes from the war its great signs such as identifying its geographical location,its leaders , names,its battles patterns,the types of weapons , and its political,historical and social fateful consequences that affect the common people bolonging to the fightin sides. Meanwhli, the poem keep the small detailes of every day life that motivate the poet"s experience more than that great signs of the war, Hence , this poen turns to be adiffernt type of documentation but it is a poetic one in its form, style and vision forming a symbolic, suggestive literary text that it does not present a direct news text of a war story because the author here is a poet not a historian.
