Abstract

This research includes burial methods that were used by the Hittites in addition to their view of life after death. We concluded through this research that there are three ways for burying the body in Anatolia. These methods had been naturally changed from one era to another according to the nature of the cultural customs and traditions that came to Anatolia as well as customs and traditions that were prevalent at the time until the cremation way had been used finally. We also observe in this study and through written texts for religious Hittite myths related to religious ideas and beliefs of life after death, that they gave us a view of the beliefs that they were common about the other life as well as the fate of the human being and how he lived it as the population of Anatolia adopted the beliefs of what after death and the other life as the condition was with their preceding or contemporaneous nations .
