Abstract
vocational schools have a great role in achieving human development, which aspires to the greatest benefit to society .in order for vocational schools to accomplish the tasks assigned to them, efforts must be combined at all social, economic and scientific levels in order to achieve what they are aiming for. when they reach advanced stages of human development, they seek sustainable development, which all societies aspire to in order to enhance economic and social stability. sustainable development in the long term leads to the well-being and prosperity of all members of society without prejudice to the rights of future generations. The research reached important conclusions, the most prominent of which are :1-vocational schools contribute to the qualification of young people and adults for the labor market with required and renewable skills that enhance the economy.2-vocational schools in Kirkuk governorate have worked to provide the labor market with students of both sexes trained in various specialties and according to the scientific subjects followed .3-human development is of great importance in providing conditions, conditions and possibilities that enable a person to achieve his humanity, aspirations and goals .4-vocational education greatly helps to reduce unemployment and poverty rates and enable individuals to find a meaningful career development through its integration with human development programs and empowering individuals .
