Iraqi Social Life as Viewed by European Travellers An Analytic study
Abstract
Those interested in studying the natures and conditions of nations, people and societies have adopted various methods in presenting their views. Some others were analytic and comparative. Explorers have played an important role in illustrating the orders of social orders of the societies they visited through coexisting with individuals in their daily lives. It reflects their ability to have access to facts and obtain realistic information, factual sometimes and contradictory some others. There quests have contributed through ethnographic, ethnological, social and anthropological accounts to the intercultural process between people. The researcher has, therefore opted to write this paper in order to delineate a picture of the Iraqi social life as viewed by European explorers. The paper has arrived at some conclusions most important of which is that European explorers have had different views in drawing a definite picture of the Iraqi social life and its nature.
