Effect of Woods model in teaching some defensive handball movements to students

Importance of current research is to raise knowledge of students with basic defensive skills via using a correct educational model that helps raise the level of learning , performance and increase the learner's desire to implement his motor duty. Research problem was: Educational models help in addressing many problems related to learning because they are dedicated to each educational goal , nature of learner and game he specializes in. Therefore, defensive skills in handball must have an educational model that suits them and raises level of students' learning. The aim of the research was to identify the effect of Woods model in teaching some defensive handball movements for students. experimental method was used, research sample included third-year students in College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Al-Qadisiyah University. After applying the model, the most important conclusions were : Woods model helped in teaching some defensive handball movements for students. Researcher recommended: Adopting Woods model because it helped in teaching some defensive handball movements for students.
