History of weightlifting among Paralympic players in Mosul city at the external level for the period from 2003-2023

Attention began with segment of disabled at all levels to ensure they are not forgotten. Some associations intervened to support and develop disabled category, starting in 1937 . As wars multiplied interest in disabled and their service increased too. These societies aimed to serve this segment , develop their talents, restore their self-confidence, and integrate them back into society, Institution of Disabled was formed by state decree No. 1300, where Iraqi state looked after war disabled people and provide everything for their benefit on 9/28/1981.
Importance of research lies in being a serious attempt by researcher to study document history of Paralympic sports in Mosul regarding its beginning to prepare a special archive volume for Paralympic Games in Mosul for the years (2003-2023) document first Paralympic Games took place in Mosul in particular. In this archive the following information will be enlisted : names of players, their categories, classifications, and tournaments they participated in, according to historical context through documents and personal interviews, linking past with present and future in a thoughtful, scientific manner. Studying history of Paralympic Sub-Committee in Mosul and analyzing the events it organized and participated will be of benefit for specialists and concerned people. historical archival material is of solid scientific benefit, keeps pace with wheel of development, scientific and cognitive research, and helps those who work in Paralympic Subcommittee in Mosul, be an administrator, referee, or player, even readers and researchers in this field, to have a clear and correct basis about state of paralympic sports. Researchers used chronical approach. due to suitability to nature of research, results of external participation of Paralympic weightlifters of Mosul were presented and discussed .
