Emotional Intelligence Among Distinguished Students

(- ) (96) 0 ( 2005) ( 2006) : 1- . 2- ( _ ) 0 0This Research aims at measuring the Emotional Intelligence of the distinguished students and to know statistically the differences for grade mean of this Emotional Intelligence of the same students according to gender variance (male - female). Ninety six students are haphazardly chosen of sixth classes in two distinguished secondary schools in Mosul city Neneveh . For realizing the aims of this research. the researcher uses certain ready mean to measure the emotional intelligence (AL_Nashi , 2005) which has been modified and applied by (AL_ Obeydi , 2006) . The external validity has been examined by a group of experts . The stable reliability has also been Calculated by using Test - Retest Way . Person Correlation Factor has been used to find the stable measurement which is used in the research, and T. test for one sample to find out the differences between the realized mean and the theoretical mean, and also the T. test for two independent sample to find out the distinctions between those arithmetic means. So the results are : 1- The distinguished students are of high emotional intelligence level . 2- There is no statistical differences of grade mean in emotional intelligence among these students according to gender variance (male and female). Certain recommendations have accordingly been raised which include: - Constructing educational programmes to develop the emotional intelligence for its rational and academic importance and preparing safe life .The researcher has also suggested some other similar studies concerning this emotional intelligence among these distinguished students in Iraq .
