Bani Maymoon, the Leaders ofAl-Murabiti and Al-Muwahdi Fleet
Abstract
" 510/1116 599/1202 543/1148. .The paper deals with the origin of Bani Maymoon and how they lead the fleet of Murabit and then the fleet of Al-Muwahdi since the appointment of Mohammed Bin Maymoon as a leader of Al-Murabit fleet in 510/1117 AD till the end of Mohammed bin Maymoon of the fleet of Muwahdeen in 559/1202. The paper also talks about the independence of Ali Bin Eyssa bin Maymoon heading the fleet in City of Kadis and the declaration of disloyalty of Murabitis and to be loyal with Muwahdeen till his death on 534/1148.As for Abu Abdullah Mohammed bin Maymoon, he was in the city of Al-Maryah which was considered a center for the Murabiti and Muwahdi fleet.
