A Comparative Study of Group Cohesion betweenStudents of Physical Education College and other Colleges at the University of Mosul

(2007 - 2008) ( ) (260) ( 1998) : ( () () (L.S.D) . :- ( ) .- ( ) .- ( ) .- .The research aims at being acquainted with The degree of group cohesion between graduate students of physical education college and other colleges of engineering , dentistry, and education at the university of Mosul The degree of difference of group cohesion level between graduate-collegiate students of physical education and other colleges of engineering, dentistry and education at the university of MosulThe descriptive method with causal comparative style was used since it is convenient to the nature of the research. The sample included 260 male and female graduate students of the academic year of (2007-2008) of physical education college and other colleges of engineering , dentistry and education at the university of Mosul. The scale of athletic team cohesion by Allawi was used as instrument to collect data. The mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient, one sample t test, ANOVA, LSD, proposed mean of the scale and percentage were used to analyze the data statistically. The researcher concludes the following: Students of physical education and other colleges of engineering, dentistry and education at the university of Mosul have a positive group cohesion level giving them a motivation to try their best and to work together for success in college . There is a difference in group cohesion level between graduate students of physical education college and other colleges at the university of Mosul . Students of physical education college were better than students of colleges of engineering and education in the group cohesion level . Students of physical education college were equal with the students of college of dentistry in the group cohesion level .
