Abstract

(10) . , .The research tackles the social characteristics of the believers in magic as a cure in the Mosuli society, i.e. the characteristics that influence the individnal`s treatment of wizards and his belief in the curing role of magic. The research sample consists of ten cases. The researcher adopts the case study approach and the anthropological one in his study of the cases. The instruments of collecting data and recording the cases of the research include the tellers of the case besides the interview and observation. The research concludes that the belief in the curing role of magic is not cofined to the illiterate or the low leveled people; It extends to the high- leveled people- This belief extends also to the religious people; i.e. to the people who follow the religious learning like prayer and fasting.
