Abstract

. . .Schools are considered an important aspect of the Islamic culture and are the main source of teaching as well as graduating scholars who served religion and knowledgein Islam during the middleAges . Besides , they are the vital side in reviving the Islam trends ( religious schools ) and renewing them , particularly in the Saljouq period and after such as the Ziki- Ayoubi states in Al-Saham . They were the powerful incentive to stimulate the spirit of Jihad against the crusaders penetration . In addition to the mosques , these schools contributed largely in the cultural progress throughout the Islamic world . Syria suffered from the violence of the crusades' wars, whose effect was great for the crusaders' objective was to conquer and end Islam . The reseach deals with the schools which were set up by Princesses, their sites, establishment methods , scholars, their properties , in the Ayoubi period and their contribution in the cultural movement at that time . There is no separate reference which talks about this important group in the Ayoubi age , which needs a lot of attention .
