Abstract

(50) (1 - 4) .This study aims at designing a scale for the evaluation of the performance of student-teachers in the teaching period at primary schools by their supervisors. The topic to be evaluated is arts education exclusively. The scale encompasses all forms of teaching behavior that are supposed to be practiced by the Fine Arts students applying in-time teaching courses. The preliminary data relevant to this topic have been collected from a survey of the history of the literature and previous studies on this topic besides an exploratory study of the views of experts in teaching methods and specialists in educational, psychological and fine Arts. The survey has conduced to the formulation of a (50) -item scale, then a four-point (1-4) rating was applied to the responses according to the emergence of achievement-related forms of behavior. Scale consistency has been established by recourse to surface validity indicators, Test-retest reliability and identification after making certain field work observations on the students.Several recommendations have emerged from the study we have conducted so far, among these recommendations are the possibility of recourse to the scale we have designed for the evaluation of the applicant students, as well as the possibility of reliance on the results obtained from the evaluation to get the students who didn't get good scores in short-term training courses participate in other rounds of courses prior to their graduation.
