Toward Their Technical Specialisation
Abstract

(44) . . . . .The aim of this research is to know the sttitudes of technical institutions students towards their technical specialisation and according to institution and gender variables . The researcher chose a random class sample , as the appropriate distribution of second grade students at the technical institutions in Baghdad and the specialisations available in thoso institutions with a rate of 10% . Thus the sample members were 587 male and female students . The research depend on a questionaire prepard by the researcher on the basis of Lekurt model to measure attitudes , which consisted of 44 items .Data statistical analysis showed that attitude toward Administrative specialisation was negative for both genders , where as the attitude of specialisation in technology and medical specialisation were positive . Attitude towards arts for males are neutral and positive for females . The researcher came out with a number of recommendations to state vocational guidance and councilling in intermediate and secondary stages to determine students ambitions and to put them on the right path .
