( ) (30) (15) . (15) . 60% . (50 % 60 %) . (50 %) . The present work aims at knowing the real situation in special education classes in Mosul from the view point of special education teachers. The sample consisted of 30 teachers (staff members) in 15 schools. To achieve the aim of the research, the researcher prepared a fifteen-item closed questionnaire characterized by validity and reliability. After applying the questionnaire on the subjects and the collection and statistical of data, the result showed that some items acquired an acceptability percentage of 60 % and more. They showed that female teachers of special education are satisfied with their work. Beside, administration and supervision (counseling) of these teachers should be encouraged. Moreover, classes of special education should be supported by the general directorate of education. Special education classes, therefore were a great success. The percentage of significance of other items ranged from 50 to 60 which is considered acceptable became special education in a practice in Iraq. Some of these items are concerned with the suitability of curricula and courses taught to special education classes the adequacy of training courses for the rehabilitation of special education teachers, the cooperation between school administration with the special education teachers to cope with the difficulties encountered by special education classes. The results showed that some schools administration pay special attention to ordinary classes at the expense of special education classes. Other items got a relative significance less than 50 % which is considered negative by the researcher. Some of these items are the weak cooperation between teachers of ordinary and special education classes, the disinterest of mass media in special education classes, the unavailability of visual-aids and educational technology necessary for special education in addition to some other negative aspects.
