Abstract

. 2004-2005 (24) (11) (13) (1994). . (20) 0.86 .The research aims at investigation influence of Brain storm technique on developing critical thinking for students of basic Education in geography .The population consisted of the students of third year/department of social sciences in college of Basic Education ,Mosul University in the academic year 2004-2005 The sample consisted of (24)students divided randomly in two groups the experimental consist is (11) students taught using Brain storm. The consisted of (13) students taught by traditional method. Equivalence was achieved between the groups in age , telligence sex, md pre-test. In order to measure critical thinking , the researcher used the in strumat prepared . by Al samarai (1994) the tool presented to group of experts in Education, psychology to find the face Validity of the in strument reliability was measured by used kuder Richardson(20) the valre was (0.86) Statistical processes were made and result showed statistically significant differences between the two groups with using Brain storm technigue . Given the results above , the researcher recommended to use Brain storm in teaching geography in both Education and Basic Education Colleges both and to take into Consideration other factors that were not dealt with in this research.
