Al- Mazrabani's Textual Objections on the Poetry ofImrĭ Al-QaysA Critical Study

() ( ) (/ ) ( ) . . / ( ) .This study aims at presenting a Critical Reading on Al-Mazrabani's textual objections on the poetry of Imr Al-Qays in his book "Al-Muwashah". It concentrates on Al-Mazrabani's attempt to compare the poetic production with reality, in addition to Al-Mazrabani's dependence on his predecessors' ideas as if they were facts without any dispute. It also shows that this critic is just an imitator whose critical personality is highly affected by his predecessors. He doesn't even try to analyze the texts especially in his comment on quotation in Imr Al-Qays' poetry. He presents ready judgments which were decided by the culture of his time. Furthermore, he deals with poetic expressions literarily and he presented them in their dictionary frame.
