The present research Sims know the effect of using two strategies of cooperative learning in teaching mathematics on achievement and self-confidence of second-stage intermediate student . The researcher has chosen from the second-stage intermediate school of Al-sham three classes . one of them represents the first experimented group which include (35) female student who have tought in (TGT). The other represents the second experimented group which include (32) female student who have tought in (STAD). The last class represents the controlling group which include (35) female student who have tought in the light of of the classical method .Result include the following:1. There is no statistically significant difference between the two experimental group and the controlling group in acquisition.2. There is no statistically significant difference between the two experimental group and the controlling group in self-confidence.3. There is no statistically significant difference between the two experimental group
