The Relationship of Components of Somatotypes with some Attacking Skill of Basketball Female Players in Iraqi First Class Sport Clubs
Abstract
:- .- . (92) , , (- ) , ( ) . :- .- .- .- , , .- . The research aims at introducing the prevalent somatotypes in Basketball female players in Iraq. It also introduces the relation ship between components of somatotypes and some of the attacking skill in Basketball. The sample consisted of 92 female Basketball players. The researcher used the descriptive way method in the correlative way. As for collecting data, the way depended on the components for physical fitness. Then getting out the prevalent somatotypes for addition to the test of some attacking skills such as chest pass, dubbing among players, free and side shooting. Statistic means included mean, standard deviation and simple correlation coefficient. The research has found the following results:- The predominant somatotype in female players in Iraq is endomorphic.- There is a positive significant correlation in dubbing tests between players and between endomorphists.- There is a negative significant correlation in the fat type players and between tests of chest pass, free shooting, and side shooting, and- There is a negative significant correlation in the fat player and between tests of dubbing among players.- There is a positive significant correlation between fat players and tests of chest pass, free shooting and side shooting.
