Abstract

, (656) (28) 0 ( 1994) () () 0 (26) (13) ( ) 0 . 0 This research aims at investigating the relationship between the Achievement motivation, mental efficiency and levels of achievements in biology for fourth secondary classes students in Ninevah center.The sample of the study consisted of (656) male and female students from (28) schools in Ninevah center. The researcher used tow factors from the scale of personal characters prepared by (Khatab ,1994) which is consist of (10) factors as the tool of the research .The second factor (achievement motivation) and the fourth factor (mental efficiency) .The achievement motivation test consisted of (26) items and menal efficiency test consisted of (13) items and the scale alternatives were (always ,often , no) . Grades of mid year examination in biologys were taken to make comparisons. The results showed that: There is a relationship of statistical importance between achievement motivation and mental efficiency for the sample of the research. There is relation between achievement motivation and study motivation for high achievement level students while there is no relation between study motivation and achievement motivation for low achievement level students.There is relation between mental efficiency and study motivation for high achievement level students while there is no relation between mental efficiency and achievement motivation for low achievement level students.
