In the past, the editing phase in film and television production was limited to relatively primitive processes like cutting and splicing image and sound clips. However, this field has seen remarkable progress thanks to the tremendous advancements in digital technology. Editing has evolved from a mere technical process to a precise art form that requires high-level skills and extensive creativity. This research explores the evolution of digital editing techniques in science fiction series, with a focus on how the tools and technologies have advanced, particularly in the use of visual effects and digital techniques in this genre. The study will examine how these advancements have facilitated the creation of fantastical worlds and sophisticated visual experiences, demonstrating how technology has influenced editing techniques to make fictional stories more realistic and thrilling. Additionally, it will analyze the impact of these methods on the visual narrative and artistic aspects of these series.
