Plagiarism Policy

Every manuscript that is being reviewed or published by INJES is subject to an iThenticate screening process. A major transgression of publication ethics is plagiarism. Duplicate publication, data fabrication and falsification, and incorrect author attribution are among the other infractions. Therefore, it is unethical behavior to plagiarize or make knowingly false or misleading comments. It is also forbidden to submit the same article to multiple journals at the same time, as this is considered unethical publishing behavior. It is important to note that up to 20% of a duplicate manuscript may be disregarded by INJES. Also, if the Artificial Intelligence score is more than 25% the manuscript is sent back to the author to reduce the Artificial Intelligence score (it must be less than 25%). In addition to the plagiarism and artificial intelligence checker, we check the hidden flag and replace the flag. A manuscript is rejected immediately if it contains a hidden flag or a replaced flag.

CrossCheck is a service that was developed to assist editors in confirming the uniqueness of publications. The iThenticate program from iParadigms, well-known in the academic field as Turnitin's provider, provides CrossCheck. Please visit www.ithenticate.com to view a searchable list of all journals in the CrossCheck database.

Within the editing system of several INJES, CrossCheck is automatically used to screen all incoming submissions. An Editorial Board Member may also decide to conduct a similarity report after publication or at any other time during the review process. The default view of the similarity report provides the percentage of the manuscript's text that is duplicated in one or more published works.
