American Trends in International Politics and Iraq's Position within Them

This campaign encompasses objectives such as combating terrorism preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and toppling authoritarian regimes in certain states. This emerging trend of American unilateralism has profound implications for Arab national security particularly with the recurring discussions of a "New Middle East" map formulated by strategic think tanks. This map envisions securing a permanent American presence in Iraq reinforcing American protection for the Gulf states and advancing a Zionist vision for resolving the Palestinian issuemost notably through the Judaization of Jerusalem and the majority of the West Bank.
