This research, entitled The Book of Al-Ahd and Al-Mathani by Ibn Abi Asim (287 AH), a historical source, aims to present the book, analyze its content, and explain its importance as a source for the study of Islamic history in the era of early Islam. There is no doubt that historical writing has preserved for us the events of history in general, due to the interest of scholars in writing throughout the ages. They left us a large legacy of works that differ in terms of breadth of information, validity, and accuracy. There is no doubt that such studies are among the matters worthy of attention because they provide a service to the Prophets biography and facilitate those who work with it. This research is only an attempt to participate in these studies, as the study deals with the definition of the Book of Ones. And the second in terms of naming and proving the books attribution to its work, the importance of the book historically, its general plan, its content, the motives for writing it, and the editions of the book.
