Abstract

The approach of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Companions in fulfilling the covenant Before Islam, good morals prevailed in Arab society in terms of values, principles, and virtues, such as generosity, courage, help, chivalry, neighborliness, fulfillment of covenants, and other good morals. When Islam came, it recognized those virtues and praised those who possess them, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, explained that his mission came to complete what was lacking. Arabs are among those noble qualities, and among the virtuous qualities and good qualities was fulfilling a covenant, which was the characteristic that adorned the Arabs before and after Islam, as it became one of the legal duties due to its praiseworthy effect and desired virtue. History has recorded many situations and deeds regarding fulfilling a covenant, which contain lessons and sermons. It is one of the virtuous values that deserves to be recognized, praised, and raised by the Muslim generation.
