Appeals and Complaints

The procedure for appeals and complaints at the Mosul Journal of Nursing (MJN) is as follows:

  • Submission of Appeals or Complaints: Authors or stakeholders who wish to submit an appeal or complaint regarding any aspect of the journal's editorial or publishing process should do so in writing. This can be done via email or through the official communication channels provided by the journal.
  • Content of Appeals or Complaints: The appeal or complaint should clearly outline the nature of the issue, providing specific details and supporting evidence where applicable. This may include concerns about editorial decisions, ethical issues, publication processes, or any other relevant matter.
  • Review and Assessment: Upon receiving an appeal or complaint, the editorial office of MJN will review the submission promptly. The editorial team will assess the validity and seriousness of the appeal or complaint and determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Communication with Stakeholders: MJN will communicate with the relevant stakeholders involved in the appeal or complaint, which may include authors, reviewers, editors, or other parties. Open and transparent communication will be maintained throughout the process.
  • Resolution: Depending on the nature of the appeal or complaint, MJN will take steps to address and resolve the issue. This may involve re-evaluating editorial decisions, conducting further reviews, correcting errors, or implementing other necessary actions to ensure fairness and integrity.
  • Feedback to Stakeholders: Once the appeal or complaint has been addressed, MJN will provide feedback to the stakeholders involved, informing them of the outcome and any actions taken. This communication will be clear, respectful, and aimed at resolving concerns satisfactorily.
  • Record Keeping: MJN will maintain records of all appeals and complaints received, along with the corresponding actions taken and resolutions achieved. This helps ensure transparency and accountability in the journal's processes.

By following this procedure, MJN aims to handle appeals and complaints effectively, maintaining high standards of editorial integrity and addressing stakeholder concerns in a fair and transparent manner.
