Assessment Levels of Satisfaction regarding Teaching Program, Learning Facilities after applying Bologna Process among Nursing Students at College of Nursing University of Sulaimani-Old Campus.
Abstract
Background: Student viewpoints play a pivotal role in assessing the quality of university programs. For continuous improvement, institutions must consider students' opinions and aspirations regarding service delivery.Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate student satisfaction concerning the teaching program, learning facilities, and university cafeteria at the College of Nursing, University of Sulaimani (Old Campus).Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study using a convenience purposive sample design was conducted at the University of Sulaimani College of Nursing from December 3, 2022, to January 9, 2023, among second, third, and fourth-year students. Out of a total of 272 students, 179 (65.8%) participated in the study. Satisfaction levels were categorized based on mean scores: 1.00-2.32 = low, 2.33-3.65 = moderate, 3.66-5.00 = high.Results: The satisfaction with the teaching program had a mean score ranging from 2.33 to 3.65, indicating a moderate level of satisfaction across all items. In contrast, satisfaction with learning facilities was low, with mean scores for the first four questions between 1.00 and 2.32.Conclusion: Overall, students reported moderate satisfaction with the teaching program and classroom environment. However, satisfaction with the learning facilities was low, particularly regarding the amount and maintenance of equipment, the outdated nature of the equipment, and the limited space in laboratories.
