Abstract

This paper, as is clear from its title, endeavors to know the development of the Workbooks of Mosul Scientists through what was written in bodies of their most important ones or through their titles for a period of time amounting to 4 centuries, starting from the 4th Century and extending to the 7th Century. The notion of the paper stems from the realization of the historical and the methodical importance of the topic. It has been shown that this period of time yielded a large number of Workbooks which are unlimited in number and difficult to know as a whole. The researcher has found that some of them are ready and printed and some of them are manuscripts that wait to be dealt with, printed, and distributed, in addition to the lost ones which we don't know anything about except for the titles. Moreover, some of them are unknown and are damaged through time. The researcher can be doubtful about them; yet, the researcher has to recall the objective of this study , which is to understand the general basis of of the development of the Workbooks of Mosul Scientists through the centuries in which the classification was at boom; still, there were neither any counting of the works nor any study of any Workbook in isolation. Consequently, research has become long and intermingled and the objective of the research could be lost, this is the reason why I specified the topic of the paper and made it restricted to religious Workbooks which I had access to at this period of time
