Develop a scale of ego inflation among students of the University of Mosul
Abstract
The research aims to develop a scale of ego inflation among students of the University of Mosul, and measuring the level of ego inflation among university students and finding the difference according to variables (gender, specialization, class), for the academic year 2019-2020. The research sample consisted of (704) students distributed among (24) colleges and these, including (9) pure science colleges with a scientific specialization and (7) humanities colleges, To achieve the objectives of the research, The researchers prepared the scale of ego inflation. The psychometric indicators of the scale were verified by extracting validity (apparent, subjective, constructive) and consistency in two ways (retesting) And Vackronbach) and the scale becomes in its final form compose from (38) paragraphs. After processing the data statistically, the results were that the level of ego inflation among the sample was within the level upper then the normal average. The presence of significant differences in ego inflation between the members of the sample according to the gender variable (male-female) and in favor of males, and the absence of significant difference for the academic grade variable (second-fourth) as well as the absence of a significant difference in relation to the variable of specialization (pure scarce and human ities).
