Abstract
The research aims at shedding lights on coffee-houses in Mosul at the end of the Ottoman era, as it is an important pillar in the society through which, the segments of the Mosul society are attracted, they have to exchange of views at all levels as well as being an appropriate place for entertainment are highlighted, and the most prominent findings of the study is that these Coffee - house have playa role in developing the movement of buying and selling and doing business in the markets through establishing commercial relations, as well as their contribution to resolving disputes that occurred among the in habitants of the city shopkeepers in by resorting reconciliation, understanding and tolerance
