Villages and Geographical Locations in Mosuli Popular Proverbs
Abstract
The research paper tackles several names of villages, towns, markets, and geographical locations that are mentioned in common Mosul proverbs because they are associated with many matters, for example, a historical event or devaluation of social values, or metaphors and euphemisms. Also, some of those places were famous for their natural wealth, a certain service, or even the vendors' callings for attracting attention to the crops of a certain town and the quality of its goods.
