Teaching/oral learning strategies
Abstract
This research aims to shed light on "Teaching / Oral Learning Strategies". The importance of this topic lies in the ability of language to build a global culture and to develop communication between other cultures. The research began with defining the concept of speaking, as well as the place of speaking in the French language class. Oral language is the communication that is formed through the construction of personality, perceptions and ideas about language, where language is the goal of learning. At first glance, oral skill is essential not only for people to learn to speak orally but also to learn to read (spelling) and to have them learn to write (written structures are only an alternative). Initially the structures were acquired mainly orally, and reading and writing are two language skills that are highly dependent on the previous state of development of the learner's oral skills. This research indicates that "orality" is "a communication process through which the message is conveyed verbally from the speaker to the audience," and that teaching strategies come from the concept of language and its acquisition in school, and that there are three oral teaching strategies resulting from this concept: "modelling, correction, and interaction." with correction". This paper also discusses the concept of learning strategy that is explored during students' learning. Students use these strategies to process information effectively and to develop knowledge.
