Abstract

The research is concerned with a battle that is one of the Islamic historical events, but it did not take place between the Muslims and Aden, but rather directly between two sects of wine, namely the Zangids and the Ayyubids, which is the battle of Tal al-Sultan in the year (571 AH). A change occurred with the change of other working forces, as its results were that the Ayyubid state became the most influential in the Levant and Egypt, while the Zengid state lost its influence in them and its influence was limited to Mosul, Aleppo, Mosul, and the Euphrates Peninsula. Sultan Saladin al-Ayyubi became in control of Egypt and the Levant, as well as Yemen. The aim of the research was to find out the opinion of Muslim historians on the battle, as well as their reporting of its events . of the battle differ at times, and this difference may be due to existing political positions between the historian and the two sides of the battle, whether positive or negative.
