Luminaries Mentioned by Ibn Khamis Al-Malaqi (D 639 AH) in his Book “Matl’a Al-Anwar wa Nuzhatul Basayer wal Absar” as Native Malaqis or Emigrants
Abstract
The study examined the Luminaries mentioned by Ibn Khamis Al-Malaqi (D 639 AH) in his book Matla Al-Anwar wa Nuzhatul Basayer wal Absar The study firstly considered the native Malaqis as the author stated that they are native people of Malaga. Secondly, The study dealt with those luminaries who immigrated to Malaga from other cities, town and villages of Andalusia to be there place of residence later on. Thirdly, the study highlighted the cities, towns and villages of Andalusia from which the immigrants came showing their numbers in each city, town and village of Andalusia. Fourthly, the study went into the large number of luminaries who were not mentioned by the author whether they are originally from Malaga or from other cities of Andalusia. Finally, the study talked about the posts taken up by the luminaries, whether they are native or immigrants, in the political, cultural and the social life of Andalusia.
