Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The journal publishes rigorous academic research in political science, accepting submissions in both Arabic and English from contributors within and outside the university. It's committed to upholding the highest standards of scientific research ethics and strictly adheres to the requirements set forth by its publication ethics committee. Additionally, the journal is dedicated to safeguarding the intellectual property rights of all authors.
- The submitted research must not have been previously published or submitted for publication in another journal, nor should it have been previously published in a different language or as complete papers in conference proceedings inside or outside Iraq. The researcher must provide a written commitment to this effect upon submission for publication.
- The submitted research must be free from plagiarism. Inaccurate representation of facts or misleading information will not be accepted.
- The research must be free from linguistic, grammatical, and typographical errors, with careful attention to punctuation marks.
- Research papers are published based on the order of their arrival to the editorial board. The editorial board reserves the right to reject publication of research that does not conform to the journal's terms and publication policy without stating reasons, and its decision shall be final.
- Research submitted for publication in the journal undergoes confidential scientific peer review and evaluation by experts in the field, according to established scientific principles. If revisions are required, the researcher is obligated to make all corrections. Should the researcher not be convinced by the revisions, they may respond with a written, scientifically reasoned memorandum to the journal's editor-in-chief. The research will not be published if rejected by the experts, and the researcher will be notified accordingly.
- The researcher is obligated to cover all financial expenses incurred in the evaluation and publication procedures.
- In the event that the research is rejected for publication in the journal, the researcher is obligated to pay the fees for the research experts.
- Failure to comply with the terms and conditions will lead to the delay or non-publication of the research.
- The journal welcomes the publication of conference and symposium reports, book reviews, and summaries of university theses and dissertations that have been approved, provided they are prepared by their authors.
