Political Decision؛-Making in Saudi Arabia؛ Saudi Arabia
Abstract
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the pivotal countries in the region, and it is not for nothing that we say at the global level, its system is classified as an absolute monarchy despite the existence of a constitution. It has been ruled by the House of Saud since the alliance with Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab in 1744, so the religious factor is one of the most important factors. Influencing decision-making in the Kingdom, the King is the focus of the political process, and reserves for himself the powers he desires. He is shared by influential princes from the royal family, as well as the Council of Ministers, which the King personally heads. As for the other decision-making departments, their role is less influential. It is worth noting that the Kingdom is witnessing an active political movement that suggests that reform is coming.
