Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals

Our Commitment to Sustainable Development

The Regional Studies Journal (RSJ) is dedicated to advancing scholarly research in political, legal, historical, economic, and social fields with a strong regional focus. In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the journal actively supports a number of key goals that resonate with its academic mission and societal responsibility.

Specifically, the journal contributes to:

Goal 4 – Quality Education: by fostering critical academic discourse and publishing high-quality research that enhances access to knowledge and informs educational policy.

Goal 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: through studies that explore regional economic strategies, labor dynamics, and inclusive development.

Goal 10 – Reduced Inequalities: by addressing social justice, equity, and the root causes of disparity within and across regions.

Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: by examining urban governance, public policy, and the challenges of regional development.

Goal 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: by promoting dialogue and research on conflict resolution, institutional reform, good governance, and the rule of law.

Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: by encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and regional cooperation through the dissemination of knowledge.
