Turkey and Russian Federation: A Study in the Political Relations 2000-2009

This paper deals with the bilateral relations between Turkey andRussian Federation in the political and diplomatic field, during theyears (2000-2009), where it witnessed a big development during thisperiod which is considered the best in the history of the relationsbetween the two states, due to the change of the political systems inthe two countries, and its pursuing a balanced and effective foreignpolicy in their regional environment, that contributed in promotingand enhancing its bilateral relations, and deepen their cooperationhorizons in the different fields and areas, besides of arrangementtheir attitudes toward a number of common essential issues.The mutual official visits between the officials of the two stateshas also contributed in development these relations, and transfer it tothe strategic partnership level, via the agreements signed between of the two states.
