The Effect Using Para Informational Technique in Para Informational Strategies for the Students of Secondary School Pupils and Their Achievement in Chemistry

This research aimed at discovering the effect of using of metacognitive teaching on metacognition strategies and achievement of fifth stage students in chemistry .The society consisted of student of fifth stage in secondary schools in Mosul in (2005-2006).The sample was divided into two groups : experimental (33) students and control group (32) students .The researcher used (Mahmoud and Zakaria,2005) inventory to measure metacognition strategies .It consisted of (7) situations in (35) items , beside all item there were two selections (yes , no).He also prepared achievement test consisted of (20) items (15 of them were subjective items ,5 of them were essay items),and he prepared teaching plans for the groups. T-test was used to treat data . The results of the study showed that there were differences between experimental and control group in metacognition strategies and achievement in chemistry.
