Abstract

. " (0.05) " . 2006/2007 (2005) (0.753) (t) (t) (4.854) (2.100) . .The current research aims to identify the relation between achievement for third year students of Biology branch College of Basic education in the subject of environment and pollution and their environmental consciousness. The researcher put the following hypothesis there is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the achievement of the students of biology branch and their environmental consciousness. The researcher depended on the grades of final exam environment and pollution taught at the first semester of the year 2006/2007 and applied environmental consciousness made by (Ali, 2005) to environmental consciousness for students with the use of pearson conjunction factor as a statistical method, The researcher found that the Correlation factor reaching (0.753) and with the calculation of (t) the value was (4.854) bigger than the scheduled value reading (2.10) thus rejecting null hypothesis of the absence of statistically significant relation between the students achievement in environment and pollution material and their environmental consciousness .
