Building Self-image Scale for Special Education Pupils in Nineveh Governorate
Abstract

The sample consisted of (400) pupils in special education classes out of (1229)rating 33% and they were chosen randomly. Building procedures included (defining the model aspects ,the blue print of the model defining the style and formation of items) in addition to the practical steps and procedures to build the psychological measures like experts reliability, statistical analysis of items using extreme groups method and internal harmony, in addition to the factor analysis of the items, and a number of pilot experiments and statistical means were (mathematical means ,standard deviation, T-test ,simple conjunction factor and factor analysis.The researcher built a self-image scale for special education pupils in Nineveh according to the factor analysis five factors were extracted: personal attention factor (6 items), body factor (6 items), social factor (5 items), efficiency factor (4 items), emotional factor (3 items), represented the self-image scale . The final from consisted of (24) items characterized by reliability. Given the above mentioned results ,the researcher recommends the use of the current scale by special education experts to measure self image of special education pupils and suggests limiting the current scale on special education pupils in Iraq.
